FIRST WORLD RECORD FOR 2020 VIRGIN MONEY LONDON MARATHON

The Virgin Money London Marathon, the most popular marathon on the planet, set a new world record for a third successive year as an incredible 457,861 applicants registered for a ballot place in the 2020 event, which will be the 40th edition of the race.

THREE IN A ROW AT LONDON MARATHON

It’s three in a row for South African private banker Nicholas Bester, who crossed the finish line of the Virgin Money London Marathon in a massive PB of 2:30.01, taking the title of first South African home three years in a row. Not bad for someone who was still on honeymoon two weeks before the marathon.
